Test Equipment

Electronic test equipment, which is used to create signals and capture responses from electronic devices under test (DUTs), is toxic e-waste and cannot be disposed of with the regular trash in the office dumpster. Testing equipment contains toxins that can cause severe health problems and irreversible environmental damage.

It is illegal in some states—New Jersey, for example—to dump electronic test equipment because of the high environmental risks.

It is estimated that only 29% of global e-waste is handled via the accepted best practice recycling channels.
